²⁴ For I say to you that many prophets and kings wanted to experience^[a] the things which you are seeing, and they did not experience them; and to hear the things which you are hearing, and they did not hear them”.

²⁵ And behold— a certain Law-expert stood up, putting Him to the test, saying, “Teacher, [by] having done what shall I inherit eternal life?” ²⁶ And the One said to him, “What has been written in the Law? How do you read it?”
